Norfolk Lavender Festival
The Norfolk Lavender Festival marks the start of the month-long lavender harvest. Attracting both local crowds and day-trippers, the Festival provides an opportunity to explore and learn about lavender on working farms, as well as take part in hands-on activities, enjoy live music and experience the culinary side of this historic herb.
It began with Bonnieheath Estate Lavender and Winery in 2010 and was joined by Apple Hill Lavender in 2013. Inspired by other Lavender Festivals throughout North America, it is an event that brings our communities together in a weekend of entertainment and education.
The festival begins with Bonnieheath Estate Lavender and Winery's Lavenderfest. June 28-29th and July 6-7th, 2019 running from 10am to 5pm. Admission is $10 per person and children under 12 are free. Visitors can look forward to farm wagon tours, live entertainment in the gazebo, lavender crafts and pick-your-own lavender as well as complimentary wine and cider sampling. Food will be provided by Kerry's St. James Street Eatery.
*Please note that Bonnieheath Estate Lavender and Winery cannot accommodate animals on their property.
Festivities at Apple Hill Lavender take place on weekends throughout the month of July from 10-5. Free admission. Stop by July 6-7th for lavender wreath making and delicious eats from Cravings Food Truck. Enjoy art in the historic Carriage House, lavender distilling demos, pottery demos and painting demos all month long. Pets welcome. Stay tuned for more details!
